Nigerians react to President Buhari's new photos







This afternoon, the presidency shared new photos of President Buhari in the UK. He received APC National leader, Bola Tinubu and former Osun state governor, Bisi Akande at the Nigerian House where he is residing (read here). Some Nigerians claim the photos are photoshopped as they show President Buhari wearing the same Kaftan and Cap he wore in previously released photos. See their comments below..

Trump spoke this week with President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria to discuss the strong cooperation between the United States and Nigeria, including on shared security, economic, and governance priorities. President Trump underscored the importance the United States places on its relationship with Nigeria, and he expressed interest in working with President Buhari to expand the strong partnership. I walked out of Wal Mart today and got in my car. As I began to pull out, I had to wait for a man in a wheelchair to pass by. As I watched him, I noticed that he was missing his right leg from the knee down and was wearing, what appeared to be, old, government issued, combat boots. He was (from my guess) in his late sixties/early seventies and seemed to be stopping to take a break. He had not realized that I had started my car and was attempting to pull out, so when he saw me, he waved in an apologetic manner and rolled forward three more times and took another break. I backed up my car the inches I had previously pulled forward, put it in park, turned off the engine, and got out. I walked up to him and introduced myself. I asked him if I could assist him with his shopping today, and he, quite grumpily, said that he was doing just fine and was not getting much anyways. U.S President Donald Trump has decided to further heighten tensions with China, the world's second largest economy after snubbing  China's leader Xi Jinping by not giving him an official phone call weeks after his inauguration, sending him a letter instead, despite calling over 18 World leaders. Donald Trump has spoken to Theresa May, Francois Hollande, Vladmir Putin, Angela Merkel and several world leaders since his presidential inauguration, and has repeatedly signaled he'll be very hard with China, whom he has accused of currency manipulation, unfair trade deals, militarizing the South China Sea and not doing enough to help the US deal with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Missing 7-year-old girl found dead with multiple matchet cuts in a bush in Osun State

A 7-year-old girl, who was declared missing days ago was found dead in a bush in Iree Town, Osun State. The spokesperson of the Osun Sate Police Command, Mrs Folashade Odoro, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday, February 15th, in Osogbo, said the body was discovered near a sawmill by Chief Oluode of Iree and later reported to the police. "Upon receiving the information, police quickly deployed a search party to the scene and the body was discovered with visible matchet cuts" Mrs Odoro said the case is being investigated as a possible murder as police suspected a foul play in the circumstance surrounding the death of the girl. A Nigerian woman (name withheld) was battered last night by her husband so much that her lip got broken and she bled profusely. Sadly, she has to remain with her abuser because she has nowhere else to go. This story was shared by Emeka Ugwuonye, a human rights activist on Facebook. This is definitely one of the reasons why it is important for women to make effort to work and earn their own money, that way, your life isn't placed in the hand of anyone else. Young woman's touching story of good deed for veteran goes viral

Alexandr Morgan Wheeler believes she found her angel outside a local Walmart. The 21-year-old from Fayetteville, West Virginia, met a man who was struggling to cross the street Wednesday. Once she spotted him, she felt the urge to get out and ask if she could assist him, but the man, who she believes is in his 60s or 70s, said he didn’t need any help. That didn’t stop her from insisting on wheeling him into the store. As they walked, they found out about each other's lives. She told him about her nephews and horses, while he mentioned that he’s a veteran and had just lost his wife.
