Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson took to her IG page to thank her husband, Prince Odianosen Okojie for his support after she was sworn into office as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, on Entertainment, Arts and Culture. She wrote:


'He supports my every move once its right and tells me not to move an inch once it's wrong. Once again he has given me his blessings on this challenge. Odi, I worship the very ground u walk on. Thank you for every opportunity, love, honesty and words.'

So I went to my alma Mater after almost 20 years...and almost died of joy (photos)

So I went to my alma mater, Lagos Anglican Girls Grammar School in Surulere, last week, and I can't tell you guys how amazing and nostalgic it was for me. This was my secondary school...I attended LAGGS from 1991 to 1997, and returning 20 years later (though I visited there in 2010) to meet the new students of the school is one of those feelings you can't describe. I visited LAGGS in continuation of my 'Selfmade Secondary School Tour for girls', and it's so far the most memorable of my tour. The girls were so warm, welcoming and were in awe of me...lol. It was amazing just talking to them and answering their questions and I pray I made an impact. The School's VP was going to take me round the school to show me changes they have made since I left almost 20 years back, but we had to stop when other students started screaming from inside their classrooms when they saw me...lol. Govornor of Ebonyi state gifts N500k to crippled man who was brutalized by soldiers, demands dismissal of the soldiers

The governor of Ebonyi state, Engr David Umahi has ordered the release of N500,000 to the Mr Chijoke Oraku who was brutalized by soldiers for wearing camouflage in Anambra state and also demanded the dismissal and prosecution of the two soldiers. In a statement released by Ebonyi state Chief Press Secretary, Emma Anya, the governor said that the 21 days punishment given to soldiers was too mild and demanded their immediate dismissal from the force. “I suggest to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.- Gen. Buratai, that those soldiers should be sacked from the army and be prosecuted immediately.” he said.
