Why So Many Celebrities Have Died In 2016 by Lydia Morrish 11 hours ago 857 SHARES share on facebook Prince, David Bowie, George Michael, Carrie Fisher, Ronnie Corbett, Alan Rickman, Sir Terry Wogan, Mohammed Ali, Harper Lee, David Gest, Gene Wilder, Pete Burns… It certainly seems to be the case that 2016 has been a murderous blip in the calendar. There have been so many celebrity deaths this year that it’s hard not to panic when your phone bleeps with a news alert. It’s not only the #StopNow2016 hashtaggers and drama queens playing into the funeral of a year. BBC News is planning to extend its obituary compilation for the end-of-year round-up show and a photoshopped image of all of the victims of 2016 has gone viral over the last couple of days, garnering over 50,000 likes from those ready for 2017. It’s been easy to just yell “Screw you 2016, you really have it out for us!” every time something bad has happened this year. And yet there hasn’t been ...

March 06, 2017

An old King realized that if he died he had no one to take over his throne. He decided to adopt a son. He launched a competition and 10 boys made it to the top. The King said to them, "I have one last test and whoever comes top will become my adopted son and heir to my throne". He gave each boy a seed of corn and told them to take the seed home, plant and nurture it for 3 weeks. The 10 boys took their seeds and ran home to plant their seeds. In one home, the boy and his parents were sad when the seed failed to sprout. The boy had diligently done everything required but he failed. His friends advised him to buy a seed and plant it, but his God fearing parents who had always taught him honesty refused. The day to give account to the King came and the 10 boys went to the palace. All the other 9 boys were successful with their seeds. The King went to each boy asking – “Is that what came out of the seed I gave you?" And each boy said ...

MY FATE MY DESTINY PART 1. My name is Happiness Dayo. I am from Ogun State. I woke up to my nightmare on December 5th 1996. "Happy wake up, wake up" this was the voice of our maid Ireti. "Aunty what happened? You sound scared". I was 8 years old but very wise. "Shhhhhhhhhhh" she said. "Do not make a sound" She dragged me out of bed, pushed me under the bed and told me to stay still. That was the last time I ever saw my dear aunty Ireti. I heard gun shots and screams coming from the living room but I couldn't move. My little mind told me all was not right. I told my self over and over again "Don't move aunty Ireti said so" My world crumbled that day, happiness ceased to exist for me. I was told my parents had gone to heaven. I asked when would I see them again no one gave me an answer. I was lonely and hungry I asked for Aunty Ireti they said she went with my parents and they are not coming back. I wept and wep...
