The car in which the Notorious B.I.G. was fatally shot is reportedly up for auction. The owners of the green 1997 GMC Suburban have linked up with popular internet auction house, Moments in Time to sell the SUV. According to the sellers, they purchased the truck seven months after Big’s death in Los Angeles in March 1997 from a broker. The ride has been refurbished, and it wasn’t until eight years later that they learned exactly what they had been pushing after they were contacted by LAPD detectives about using the truck as evidence. 'We have kept the car now for 20 years and finally decided it was time to sell it,' the owners wrote in a letter to Moments In Time. The Suburban is still in running condition and reportedly only has 114,000 miles on it. 'I have requested the LAPD return the original bullet-riddled door upon closure of the case,' they added. The asking price for the legendary ride is $1.5 million.

In a related development, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on February 9th, arrested one Benjamin Aduli for offences bordering on criminal breach of trust and obtaining by false pretence. Operatives of the EFCC got wind of his nefarious activities through a petition by one of his victims. A 7-year-old girl, who was declared missing days ago was found dead in a bush in Iree Town, Osun State. The spokesperson of the Osun Sate Police Command, Mrs Folashade Odoro, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday, February 15th, in Osogbo, said the body was discovered near a sawmill by Chief Oluode of Iree and later reported to the police. "Upon receiving the information, police quickly deployed a search party to the scene and the body was discovered with visible matchet cuts" Mrs Odoro said the case is being investigated as a possible murder as police suspected a foul play in the circumstance surrounding the death of the girl. The governor of Ebonyi state, Engr David Umahi has ordered the release of N500,000 to the Mr Chijoke Oraku who was brutalized by soldiers for wearing camouflage in Anambra state and also demanded the dismissal and prosecution of the two soldiers.
